Mr. Vernick is a Firm shareholder who, for over twenty-five years, has focused his practice on complex medical malpractice cases. He has defended hundreds of physicians and health care providers before the state and federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Vernick has tried approximately 100 cases to verdict.

In addition to defending medical malpractice cases, Mr. Vernick represents physicians and related health care providers in licensure matters before the Maryland and District of Columbia Boards of Medicine and hospital credentialing committees.

Mr. Vernick's experience includes extensive insurance coverage litigation. He has been retained by local and national insurance companies to provide coverage opinions and to defend insurance companies in coverage dispute litigation.

Mr. Vernick has frequently provided risk management and educational seminars to physician groups, hospitals, and insurance companies.
