Ms. Schultz is an associate with
the firm who concentrates on the defense of medical malpractice
claims. She regularly defends local physicians, hospitals and health
care institutions at the trial level in cases alleging medical
negligence. Ms. Schultz’s litigation experience includes all phases
of fact and expert discovery, motions practice, defending and deposing
expert witnesses, bench and jury trials; she regularly appears
before the Maryland District and Circuit Courts. For several years
prior to joining WLEK, Ms. Schultz practiced law in California,
where she defended physicians and dentists from malpractice claims,
and also frequently represented insurance companies and their insureds
in premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death actions.
Ms. Schultz received her B.A. from San Diego State University
in 1997 and her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law
in Los Angeles, California in 2000, where she was a member of the
Trial Advocacy Honors Program.
Ms. Schultz is a member of the Maryland
and California State Bar Associations.
