Mr. Kirby is an associate with
Wharton Levin Ehrmantraut & Klein. In his practice,
Mr. Kirby focuses on civil litigation, especially in the defense
of medical malpractice, professional liability and general civil
torts. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Kirby was a law clerk for
the Honorable William S. Horne and then the Honorable Sidney S.
Campen in the Circuit Court of Talbot County, Maryland.
Mr. Kirby appears regularly before the Circuit Courts of Maryland and the
Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He is also admitted
in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
He is responsible for all aspects of case management, including
the development of case strategy, fact and expert discovery, selection
of expert witnesses, taking and defending expert and fact witness
depositions, and preparation of pleadings and motions. He has obtained
dismissals or defense verdicts on behalf of numerous clients.
Mr. Kirby is a member of the executive council of the Bar Association of
Baltimore City and served as Chair of its Young Lawyers Division.
He is also a member of the ABA and the Maryland State, Anne Arundel
County and Talbot County Bar Associations. Mr. Kirby also serves
as Justice (President) of the National Capital Area Chapter of Phi Alpha
Delta Law Fraternity International.
