Mr. Kirby joined the firm as an
associate in 2006. His practice focuses on civil litigation, especially
in the defense of medical malpractice, professional liability and
complex civil torts. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Kirby was a
law clerk for the Honorable William S. Horne and the Honorable
Sidney S. Campen in the Circuit Court of Talbot County, Maryland.
Mr. Kirby appears regularly before the Circuit Courts of Maryland and the
Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He is also admitted
in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
He is responsible for all aspects of case management, including
fact and expert discovery, defending
and deposing expert witnesses, and motions practice. He has obtained
dismissals and defense verdicts on behalf of many clients.
Mr. Kirby is a member of the executive council of the Bar Association of
Baltimore City and a trustee of the Baltimore Bar Foundation. He
is also an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association
and the ABA. Mr. Kirby also serves as Justice (President) of the
National Capital Area Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity
International.
